Hi! The magnetic rotating mat is easy to use, rotates smoothly, and the teal magnets hold the half square triangles in place, so I can make the cut between the two lines of stitching. I am using Sew Tites magnets for many aspects of constructing quilts, including using the magnums to hold the quilt sandwich in place for all over free hand quilting. MLC in Oregon
This magnetic mat is amazing! It’s so helpful to use with the magnetic ruler to help keep my fabric in place when I’m trimming up blocks! It’s easy to take to retreats and the mat is wonderful at self healing. Definitely worth the investment! ~Belle of Seams Sew Me

best rotating Mat I have owned
I bought this rotating mat because I was about to fussy cut 120 3.5” blocks. This made the process go very quickly and easily. The magnets held my ruler in place without slipping and the table turns easily making this process more enjoyable. I would recommend this to any quilter.
Saw the magnetic rotating mat in the Pinata class at Road to VA. Had to have it! Love it! I bought the cutting mat too!

The magnetic table is too small. Magnets work well, but the rotating round table is too small.
Cutting out EPP fabric has become so much faster and accurate with this magnetic mat. The rotating feature means I can easily adjust my cutting angle without disturbing my template and fabric at all, and the magnets are nice and strong, even with an EPP acrylic template without magnetic components. Absolutely genius tool!
Love my rotating mat! It fits at my sewing cabinet to the left of my machine. The weight of it will help keep it solidly in place as I trim my blocks. A great addition to my sewing room.

I love to do applique and handbags. It requires tracing pattern pieces from paper templates. I find this absolutely amazing with this mat. The magnets hold down the pattern and fabric and allows me to turn it in whatever direction without disturbing the pattern. I wish I'd had this so much earlier in my life. I had no idea how valuable this turntable could be! It goes in my best purchases category!
I purchased this to help with a large hexie project starting in February. Along with the Mini and HD Sew-Tites it is going to make the process of cutting (and fussy cutting) on this project much easier! Very sturdy and spins smoothly. Perfect size too!

I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and get pain from holding rulers to cut fabric and blocks. The magnetic cutting system is a huge help. I don’t have to press down hard to keep the ruler in place - the magnets do this for me so I only have to lightly hold the fabric. I’d love to see more rulers, like a 4.5” square and a 6.5” x 12”. And a smaller mat that I can take to class would be very helpful too. Thanks, Linda (Australia)
Perfect for small cuts
I purchased this item at QuiltCon, and I used it the first time to trim up some flying geese, I love it! I am considering up grading to the big magnetic mate!

I wanted a rotating mat that was small enough to fit on my sewing table (close to my machine), as I tend to do a lot of trimming & being able to rotate to another side without moving the piece, was great.This mat was perfect & the fact that it holds everything together was like icing on a cake! SewTites has exceptional quality products that will be in my sewing room a long, long time

Took a little getting used to because the mat rotates more freely than the non-magnetic one I've been using. But once I got used to that, the ability to rotate a full 360 degrees without having the fabric shift or having to press down awkwardly was fabulous!
Haven’t used it yet but I know I’m going to love it because I love everything SewTites! I ordered it at the Houston International Quilt festival as soon as I found their booth!
I am really enjoying the magnetic cutting systems (I have both the large mat and the round turntable). I am an older quilter and have been quilting for many, many years. I had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists about five years ago, and the systems do not have as much impact on my wrists because the magnets hold the rulers down, not your hand/thumb. I do have some arthritis in my fingers and my left thumb, but not having to press down so hard on the ruler has made a huge difference. Thank you, ladies, for these ingenuous product(s).

I really love this mat, but knocked it down one star due to the size. 11" diameter is great for very small piecing, fussy cutting, and travel, but limits the use for trimming finished blocks. Yes, there is the large mat magnetic cutting system, but that's beyond my budget.
Sew Tites has been a game changer for me. I have limited mobility in the hand that holds my rotary cutter. Sew tites has removed the 'woggle' in my cutting, enabling me to cut straight for the first time in 15 years. I have been asking for a sew tites rotary mat for a while and now I have one! I can cut and trim without moving and re-adjusting the fabric. This saves time and increases my accuracy. Absolutely a wonderful product. Worth every penny!
